Day 3 of Alumapalooza: Morning yoga. Opening up the body, enlivening the spirit, gifting the world with light, love and energy. What better way to start our days at Alumapalooza? After our Yoga and Healthy Living workshop, participants of this glorious Airstream rally were excited about the prospect of morning yoga classes. I don’t know why I [...] Day 2 of Alumapalooza: Before today, I have never witnessed a tornado siren in person. I’ve heard about storm warnings being sounded, but this alarm caught me off guard — so much so, I had to question what in fact the noise was. Tornadoes might be a standard in the Midwest, but in Teeswater (Ontario, [...] Jackson Center Ohio. The home of iconic and revered pop-culture Airstream travel trailers and motor homes, since 1952. Today kicked off our second visit to this small village noted for simple and clean country living. And the population was about to grow by 300 people for the Alumapalooza rally and festival of Jackson Center Community days. [...] As we pack up our Airstream for another venture into the unknown, I can’t help but feel super excited about Wednesday’s seminar at Alumpalooza discussing yoga and healthy living on the road, sharing our yoga and yogaFLIGHT journey thus far! It’s been so interesting to have one foot in Canada and the other in the US as [...] Here’s the path of our journey in North America thus far in 2010. It’s been quite an incredible adventure! Here’s to many more … Windows, windows everywhere! 25 window surfaces to be exact. And that’s only counting the one side. Multiple that by 2 in addition to the accompanying screens to most of the count, and you have a whole lot of scrubbing going on. The day started out beautifully, and with a slight window of opportunity (punny! ) with the [...] 1n June 2008, slaDE~ and I spontaneously bid and won our Airstream dream trailer off of eBay, about 6 weeks before our wedding. Although we stayed in our trailer during the wedding week whilst home on Dad’s Ontario farm, we really didn’t get a chance to explore it’s nuisances and beauty. Fast forward just over [...] Today was just another day in the world of sKY and slaDE in our life on the road. We planned to do some shopping at the Airstream store and then try to get away at a decent hour so that we could bypass traffic in Toledo and Detroit. But before our departure, slaDE wanted to [...] Oh crap! Our fridge door in our beautiful Airstream trailer just came unhinged, quite literally. How does one react when things don’t go quite as planned or expected? Do you become unhinged and broken? Or do you just breath deeply, hope for the best and give it what you’ve got to fix it in [...] So so busy …. and truly behind on my blogging. This has been an incredible whirlwind of a journey thus far in trying to get our Airstream ready to head south. All this plus making the time to visit with friends and family keeps me challenged in trying to fit everything in. And my writing [...] |
