An ideal work exchange

The view from the Ashram Templestained glass windowStaying in any city can be an expensive venture, especially when the Airstream is parked and we’re looking for a place for a week or so to stay. One can only be billeted with friends for a short period before outstaying ones welcome. I never want to get to that stage. hence the need to find other options. We love to housesit, and couchsurfing is an interesting idea. But neither were options for our second week in San Francisco, especially on such short notice. This made the idea of a work exchange arrangement during our stay at the Integral Yoga Institute incredibly appealing and absolutely welcomed!  Both of us are multi-talented hard workers (a very charming, handsome husband indeed helps as well), and any chance to save our money, utilize our skills and put our hard-earned / saved $$ towards anything other than accommodation is appealing and most desirable. Thus began our first day of work exchange. The list of things for us to do was generous and very much doable. However, the giant task of office organization took longer than expected and the whole afternoon was spent creating a functional space for the staff and volunteers of the house. It was such a fun productive day which ended in a magical Restorative Yoga class that made my heart sing and melted my body into quiet calm and happiness.
